Terms of use
These terms apply to everyone who uses Morning Analytics. If you have an account, we ask you to accept them before using the features for signed-in users.
Version 8 November 2026
The essentials
- Morning Analytics is general information and analysis, not investment, credit or financial advice.
- The figures are our own calculations from open data and may contain errors. Check them before making decisions.
- Text written by AI is labelled and may be wrong.
- We store only what the sign-in gives us (name and e-mail) and what you do in the service, and you can delete your account at any time.
- Reports you download are for your own and internal use. You may share them with a credit, but not sell them without an agreement with us.
1. The service
Morning Analytics ranks Norwegian companies and municipalities on public figures, mainly annual accounts from the Brønnøysund Register Centre and statistics from Statistics Norway. Most of it is open to everyone without an account. With an account you can follow companies and sectors, download PDF reports and order competitor analyses. We may change, extend or close parts of the service.
2. No advice
The content is general information and not investment advice, a credit rating, or financial, accounting, tax or legal advice. Nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold financial instruments, to lend or to enter into agreements, and nothing is tailored to your situation. Morning Analytics is not an investment firm and is not authorised to provide investment services.
The index and rankings must not be the sole basis for decisions on credit, investment, employment, choice of supplier or similar.
3. The figures and the sources
The figures come from public sources, and the sources do not always check the content. We calculate key figures, rankings and signals ourselves. Figures may be wrong, missing, out of date or corrected later. The fiscal year and the source are stated. Errors can be reported via «Report an issue»; corrections require documentation.
4. Estimates and models
Value ranges, forecasts, risk signals and indexes are model-based estimates with considerable uncertainty. They are not valuations, price targets or credit ratings.
5. Text from AI
Some texts are written by a language model and are labelled. The figures in them are checked against the database, but the explanations may be wrong or misleading. What you write in «Ask about the figures» is sent to the model to produce the answer. Do not enter personal data or confidential information there.
6. Liability
The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of accuracy, completeness or availability. To the extent permitted by law, Morning Analytics is not liable for direct or indirect loss arising from use of the service or from decisions based on the content.
7. How you may use the content
You may read, quote and share figures, tables and reports with a credit to Morning Analytics and the original source. The open API may be used within reasonable limits. You may not scrape the service at scale, circumvent technical limits, resell the content as your own product, present it as a credit rating or use information about people to harass, profile or contact them unlawfully.
8. Your account
You sign in with Google, Microsoft or LinkedIn. We receive your name and e-mail address from them and store what you follow, the competitor analyses you order and when you accepted the terms. The account is personal. You can sign out and delete the account at any time, and what we have stored about you is then deleted. Accounts with no sign-in for 24 months are deleted automatically. We may close an account used in breach of these terms.
9. Reports and analyses
PDF reports and competitor analyses are generated automatically for you and are for your own use and internal use in your organisation. You may share individual reports with, for example, colleagues, the board, your auditor or your bank, or attach them to a case, as long as the source is credited.
Without a written agreement with Morning Analytics you may not sell, license or otherwise resell the reports, publish them in full, build them into a product or service of your own, or remove the source credit and the note that the content is not advice. Quotes and individual figures with a credit are always fine.
The open data from the Brønnøysund Register Centre, Statistics Norway and the other sources can still be used freely under the sources' own licences. These restrictions apply to our compilation, calculations, texts and design. Like the rest of the service, the reports are general information, not advice.
10. Rights
Data from the sources is used under their licences (NLOD 2.0, CC BY 4.0 and CC0), listed on the data sources page. The compilation, calculations, texts and design belong to Morning Analytics.
11. Privacy
How we process personal data, how long we keep it and what rights you have is described in the privacy notice.
12. Changes to the terms
The terms have a dated version. If we change them materially, we ask signed-in users to accept the new version the next time they use the features for signed-in users.
13. Governing law and contact
Norwegian law governs these terms and the use of the service. Questions about the terms can be sent via the contact form.
